Housebuild Work Continues
Work on the home we are building for a local resident continues. The house is up in shell form and we are beginning finish work inside and siding work outside within the next few weeks. If you know of a licensed contractor who would like to bid on the work please see Brian Gardner or Dave Taylor.
Since its first meetings the church has made a commitment to helping people find affordable housing. We have participated in several builds including projects Katrina victims, with Habitat for Humanity, Crossroads Missions of Louisville, Kentucky and local repair work. In 2009 the opportunity presented itself to demolish a condemned home owned by a local resident with no place to live and construct a new home in its place. Through generous donations of time, talent, funds, equipment and material the church will hopefully reach our goal by the end of this calendar year. The project, once completed, will be valued at at least twice the church’s annual budget. God has certainly provided and the local community has stepped up to assist one of their own.
Here is a list of projects we are working on right now. If you can help in any way please contact us through the website or come out Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. and talk to us about getting involved.
